Pekanbaru – Musyawarah Majelis Ulama Indonesia (MUI) Provinsi Riau direncanakan digelar pada akhir Desember 2020 ini.
Melansir dari Cakaplah.com ada 7 nama yang masuk dalam bursa calon ketua MUI Riau tersebut. Nama-namanya adalah:
- Prof Dr HM Nazir Karim MA
- Prof Dr H Ilyas Husti MA
- Dr H Mustafa Umar Lc MA
- Dr H Saidul Amin MA
- Prof Dr H Akbarizan MA MPd
- Drs KH Abd Rahman Qoharudin, dan
- H Rusli Effendi SPd I SE M.Si.
Salah seorang calon yang masuk dalam bursa, Rusli Efendi kepada CAKAPLAH.com mengatakan bahwa dirinya siap jika nantinya diberikan amanah.
“Prinsipnya saya siap. Tapi saya juga menghormati yang lebih senior seperti pak Prof Dr M Nazir, masih layak untuk yang ke 2 kalinya,” kata Rusli Efendi, Sabtu (19/12/2020).
Disinggung mengenai bagaimana mekanisme pemilihan, apakah dengan musyawarah ataupun voting, Rusli Efendi mengatakan bisa jadi kedua opsi tersebut dilakukan.
“Opsinya bisa kedua-duanya. Yang paling penting bagi saya adalah MUI Riau bisa lebih maju ke depannya,” tukasnya.
